Homemade Crunchy Granola
Crunchy, sweet, without a bunch of artificial additives and best of all vegan and gluten-free: no wonder I'm so excited about this homemade granola recipe!
My favourite way to enjoy this breakfast creation is with a smoothie bowl (check out my top summer favourite here), a plant-based yoghurt and fruit, or - if you're in a hurry - just a little cashew milk.
I've deliberately opted for a basic recipe here. Feel free to replace the millet flakes with oat flakes, for example, or use ground almonds instead of hazelnuts. What also tastes good are dried fruits like cranberries, which you can add to the granola before baking. Super easy, super quick and above all super delicious!
Ingredients
500g millet flakes
100g ground hazelnuts
1 tsp cinnamon
1 pinch of salt
150g coconut oil (soft or liquid)
150g agave syrup
Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 180 degrees.
- Mix all the ingredients together until you have a sticky, crumbly mixture.
- Spread the granola evenly on a baking tray lined with baking paper.
- Bake in the preheated oven for approx. 10 minutes, remove briefly, mix again and bake for another 4-5 minutes.
- Remove, leave to cool completely on the tray and then store in a container of choice.
