Delicious Vegan Protein Smoothie

I have already tried a lot of different vegan protein powders and was always disappointed. Often the floury consistency didn't suit me and no product could really convince me in terms of taste.

When I started going back to the gym after the lockdown, my body demanded more and more protein sources. In the winter months, I often prepared a hearty breakfast bowl with oatmeal, nuts and seeds. But in the summer, I wanted something lighter like a smoothie (which I also like to drink without protein powder).

So I came across the Vegan Protein 3K Chocolate Flavour from nu3 by chance and was THRILLED. Especially in a smoothie it tastes super delicious. Especially in combination with the berries, the chocolatey taste comes out particularly well. Since I discovered this product, this smoothie is the one thing I am craving on my breakfast table - especially after a workout.

Ingredients

For 2 servings

1 banana

½ handful of frozen raspberries

½ handful of frozen blueberries

2 heaped teaspoons of vegan protein powder (I use “Vegan Protein 3K Chocolate Flavour” from nu3)

2 teaspoons of chia seeds

2 teaspoons of hemp seeds

100-200ml of water

100-200ml of vegetable milk (I use soy milk)

Preparation

  1. Put all the ingredients in a high-powered blender. Use enough water and vegetable milk to cover all the solid ingredients and fill another third of the blender with liquid. Experiment a little with how liquid or thick you like your smoothie. Start with less liquid as you can always add more after the first round of blending.
  2. Blend everything together.
  3. Fill into two glasses and serve straight away.
